Views from the recoving Edible Garden

Weeks after IRMA and the plants are recovering. Papaya that refuses to give up. Blackberries blooming AGAIN. Bananas fruiting. Sweet potatoes taking root. Star fruit covered in blooms. Seminole Pumpkin taking off. My potted veggie seeds are coming up.

We hope to be able to open the garden up again by the end of the year. Decomposing roots from clearing the lot and IRMA's rains have caused depressions in the soil that we need to address before we can open for classes again. Never a dull moment in the garden.

Instead of classes in my garden in the next couple of months, I am teaching "Tomatoes" on October 28th and "Easy Gardening" at on December 2nd at Veterans Park Rec Center at 1pm. Classes are $10 unless you bring a young person with you to learn about gardening.
