Bees do so love sunflowers, so do I

These are small, edible seeded, sunflowers that grow about 3 feet tall. I scattered seeds and ignored. Did not even cover them up. They came up where and when they wanted to and if I missed pulling them with the weeds, they grew big and strong.

In addition to the main head, sunflowers can also provide mini flowers along the stem including right from the base of the plant. The weirdest flower had two heads. A small one that grew out of the side of the head of the larger one.

I've come to the conclusion that just as much as we humans are unique and different, so are plants. Unexpected outcomes in every sort of way.
