Edible: Dwarf Bananas.

Searching for the shortest bananas I can find has been a challenge. I am NOT getting up on a ladder.

Dwarf Cavendish. 6-7' dessert type bananas. Bought this at ECHO for $8.

Dwarf Grand Nain. 8-10'. Proclaimed to be the Chiquita brand dessert banana. Bought at ECHO for $8.

Dwarf Orinoco. 8-10'. Can be used green as a plantain or ripe as a dessert banana. HAVE this one.

Dwarf Red. 6-8' Beautiful foliage. Dessert banana. Had to order this from Going Bananas for $20+ship.

Super Dwarf. 3' Dessert banana. Had to order this from Going Bananas for $20+ship.

Truly Tiny. 3' Dessert banana. Had to order this from Going Bananas for $20.+ship

Rose. 6-8' Very sweet dessert banana. Opted not to get this one. Running out of room.

Raja puri. 6-8' All green sweet dessert banana. Highly praised. Had to order this from Going Bananas for $20+ship.

Dwarf (PR) Plantain. 6-8' Resistant to Panama Disease. Opted not to get this one because the orinoco can be used as a plantain.

Double. 5-7' Also called Mohoi. Not as cold hardy as the others. And YES it has double banana. Opted not to get this one since living in a frost prone area.

I found a pricey 4' Poquito Banana at Riverland Nursery for $35. Bought this after a class on edibles to find out that it had tiny bananas. Let me know if anyone wants to trade something for this banana. This would serve a family of one perfectly.
