Roselle Syrup and Drink Recipe
Roselle Syrup
No need to remove the juicy, red, staining calyx from the seed pod. Just throw the entire “pod” in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a very light simmer and stir. The calyx easily falls away and breaks down from the seed pod. Strain through a colander. Syrup can be frozen.
Roselle Drink
Add a half cup Roselle syrup to a half gallon of water plus two tablespoons of sweetener (optional).
