Pickled Okra Recipe

A member brought this to our last meeting. I adjusted the recipe to not include canning, only refrigeration. Yummy!

Bring to a boil:
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • sliced garlic
  • dill seeds
  • fennel seeds
  • mustard seeds
  • coriander seeds
  • celery seeds
  • black pepper seeds
  • black pepper corns
  • fresh fennel leaves
  • salt
Pack fresh raw okra into pickling jars. Pour boiling liquid over okra to cover. Put lid on and place in refrigerator. Allow to marinate for 48 hours. Eat within a week.
