It is very satisfying growing your own tomatoes, however they can be a challenge to home gardeners here in SW Florida. This intensive class provides you with lowdown of what is required to successfully grow tomatoes in SW Florida. We will cover how to choose a variety, planting, disease and sprays, insects, and fertilizing.
Speaker will be Karen Harty, Lee County 4-H Leader, Lee County Master Gardener, Lee County Citrus Advisor, and Executive Director of the nonprofit Grow A Gardener Inc.
CLASS:
• General public $10. Cash only.
• Youth 8-18 and accompanying adult are FREE
• 4-H registered youth, their parents, and their leaders FREE
Tomato plants and other items will be offered for sale at the class. Cash only.
