Removing Banana Suckers

A picture is worth a thousand words so videos have to be worth a trillion words.

Goal: Three growing bananas per clump.

1. one mature adult that is producing
2. one young adult 
3. one baby

In a perfect world, all bananas should be grown from SWORD suckers.

The tool shown is difficult to come by. Most spades break and a pry bar is difficult to hang onto. We were very fortunate to have been given a handled wedge tool that arthritic hands can control very well. Below is the closest I could find to it on Amazon. Mine has an actual WEDGE at the bottom, not a spade.
