It has been so warm this winter that my Seminole pumpkins are starting to decay. While marathon prepping, I desperately searched my drawer for a "sharp spoon" for scooping out the insides.
Epiphany! My melon baller worked perfectly. I've done dozens of pumpkins with a spoon and this was so much easier.
