Hover fly (also known as syrphid flies, flower flies & drone flies)
These GOOD guys feed on aphids. Found them on the shoot apex of my winged beans along with aphids and ants that were harvesting the aphids for their honey dew excretions. I made the wrong assumption that they were eating the plant because of their location on the plant and, well, I killed them.
I am happy to say that since their demise a few days ago, they have returned. Yay!
