Solarization won out BIG time in my garden. Our record temperatures did not help the nematode problems.
Above photo is of root knot nematode damage to bean roots grown in a bed that had Sunn Hemp in it all summer long.
My solarized bed of beans' roots looks "normal". This bed had little to no weeds.
Both beds were planted at the same time using the same variety of seeds.
