Compost in the Kitchen
Pictures are worth a thousand words. We keep three stacked paint buckets in one side of our kitchen double sink. Grab a handle and head out to the garden and there is still another bucket ready to fill. Rinse the bucket out outdoors, then bring inside and run through the dishwasher. The handles rust a bit but we have had these for at least three years now.
We also use drain covers to trap our compost before it literally goes down the drain. I have two of them so that one can be in the dishwasher and the second can be in place while still working in the kitchen. It's tough to find the ones that are not wire and hard to clean. Amazon has them.
