Sweet Potato Harvest from one 15-gallon pot
Actually we ate three already from this lot. It is hard to tell but these are HUGE. We are going to grow them in pots from now on.
When we dumped the pot in a garden bed it was covered in fire ants so it took a bit of work to get these guys in the house. Then I took a piece of the vine and replanted it in a new pot. We have about 10 pots going all at different stages so we never run out of sweet potatoes.
Our sweet potatoes have gotten hit hard with army worms this week. We are spraying Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) in the mornings before the bees wake up.
