Calendar of Edible Gardening Exchange Meetings
- North Fort Myers Rec Center
2000 N Recreation Park Way, North Fort Myers - Gardener's Chat is from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
- The meeting/guest speaker is from 6:30 until they are finished (usually between 7:30pm and 8:15pm.
- Exchange is last. If you bring something to exchange, you get first choice of exchange items.
$10 Membership Fee April through September includes:
July 16: Hydroponics for the Home Gardener (Greenview Aquaponics, Tim and Astrid)
August 20: Herbs for Central and South Florida (Ford Edison Estates, Debbie Hughes)
September 17: How to Grow Potatoes [Irish, not sweet potatoes] (5-County Extension Agent and Hendry County Extension Director, Gene McAvoy)
$10 Membership Fee October through March includes:
October 15: Container Gardening (Karen Harty)
November 19: Drip Irrigation for Dummies (Master Gardener, Fred Geist)
December 17: TBA (Potluck?)
January 21, 2016: Build a Worm Tower. Bring your own bucket. (ECHO, Brad Ward)
February 18: ??? Save Seeds like a Seed Company. (Sakata Seed, Cory Dombrowski)
March 17: TBA
Membership Fees
- A $10 Lee Parks and Rec lifetime membership of is required.
- Membership fee for monthly meetings April through September is $10.
- Membership fee for monthly meetings October through March is $10.
- If you are unable to afford this program, see how to apply for a scholarship.
- Grow A Gardener does not offer scholarships for the $10 Lee Parks and Rec lifetime membership, however it will cover the membership fee for monthly meetings.
