Chill hours, what are they and why do we need to know?

Chill hours, what are they and why would we need to know?

The "general" definition of a chill hour is any hour under 45°F. This is important for those of us in SW Florida because we have few chill hours. Keep this in mind when purchasing fruit trees and request "low-chill" plants.

This website tracks our chill hours in Immokalee.
