Gene McAvoy, our 5-county Extension veggie guy, was at my garden that was overcome by "worms" aka caterpillars. Specifically Army Worms, but there were others involved.
Organically he recommended "Conserve", plus "BT", plus "liquid soap" all in the same application. Make sure to cover the BACK side of leaves.
Personal note: I have been told that Dawn is too harsh on plants. It degreases birds caught in an oil spill so I tend to agree. I use the cheapest stuff on the shelf instead.
