LCU (Lee County Utilities) Watering Regulations for Lehigh Acres

To get the real low-down, LCU (Lee County Utilities) provided this information:

These rules are year-round, not just in the winter. 

Vegetable/fruit gardens can be watered:
  • 24/7 by HAND-holding a hose 
  • 24/7 buy using a watering can
  • 24/7 by drip irrigation
  • Odd numbered addresses may use sprinklers: Wednesday and Saturday from Midnight to 9am AND/OR 5:00pm to Midnight
  • Even numbered addresses may use sprinklers: Thursday and Sunday from Midnight to 9am AND/OR 5:00pm to Midnight
  • Sprinklers can be used IF plants have been in place for 30 days or less (proof is required) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and/or Sunday before 9am and/or after 5pm. The sprinkler zone must cover at least 50% of new plantings.
  • Sprinklers can be used IF plants have been in place for 31 to 60 days (proof is required) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday before 9am and/or after 5pm. The sprinkler zone must cover at least 50% of new plantings.
